What started as a conversation about being homeless, went through many rounds of discussion and ended up as an excellent music and drawing influenced Friday afternoon.
With the knowledge that our esteemed guest Ian Stevenson was going to be in town, we decided to ask him about doing a live drawing session in Urban Outfitters. He said it would be a great idea and we put together a line up that we thought would be both complimentary and inspiring. Gaetan Billault, Maser and Dave Comiskey all agreed to do an individual canvas. Gavin, Fiona and Andy at Urban Outfitters suggested we have music and that’s when Spies Like Us and Dark Room Notes came onboard alongside Alistan Munroe, who played an excellent set of Clicks & Beats inbetween.
The sole purpose of this extravaganza was to have 4 complete canvases for the next Young Hearts Run Free event towards the end of June [maybe July], when all the canvases will be raffled off with all proceeds going to the Simon Community here in Dublin.
Many many thanks to all those who put the good work in. Do visit their websites and show some support.
