We would like to invite you to the launch of Life at The Joy Gallery, an exhibition opening on Friday December 19th, from 6pm at The Joy Gallery, 2 Rutland Place, Dublin 1.
Come and enjoy roasted chestnuts and hot spiced drinks while viewing new work from eight young Dublin-based artists.
Life at The Joy Gallery is the forthcoming exhibition due to open at The Joy Gallery. The Joy Gallery is a not-for-profit artist-run space focusing on experimental art, music, cross-collaborations and new media work.
The intention of the show is to present the work of the artists Laura de Burca, Oisin Byrne, Fiona Hallinan, Ruth Lyons, Rachel Ni Chuinn, Kate Strain, Alex Synge and Amy Walsh on an ongoing basis.
The exhibition will represent the work of these artists over the course of the next year and will continually evolve with the artists practice and the development of the gallery. The opening of the exhibition will be accompanied by a text written by Claire Feeley and artists will be inviting writers and theorists to contribute to the exhibition as it continues and develops.
The gallery will be open on Saturdays after the show and will be accompanied by a concession store called Bread and Butter selling magazines, records, zines, artists’ prints and other merchandise and crafts from our associated artists and musicians.
