Three Guys & a Bookcase: Red&Grey Design 2003-2008

A new publication definitely worth checking out is ‘Three Guys & a Bookcase: Red&Grey Design 2003-2008’. It is published by Red&Grey Design (Bob Gray, Richard Weld-Moore and Keith McGuinness) and The Lilliput Press and further information is available on http://www.threeguysandabookcase.com. Three Guys & a Bookcase: Red&Grey Design 2003-2008 is their first book and celebrates their first five years in business.

In today’s difficult economic environment, a company must embrace thought-provoking, concept-driven graphic design. Three Guys & a Bookcase: Red&Grey Design 2003-2008 endeavours to explain how Red&Grey Design uses the visual language of graphic design to do just that. The book examines their history and work, considers their influences and describes the processes involved in creating contemporary commercial design work. The book also showcases a selection of their work from clients including: the Dublin International Film Festival, the National College of Art & Design and The Bingham Cup 2008 (The biggest, gayest rugby tournament ever).

Three Guys & a Bookcase: Red&Grey Design 2003-2008 is aimed at Irish and international designers, design students and academics interested in both the practice and theory of contemporary design. Or anyone who appreciates creative thinking and the processes involved. The book is launched on December 11th - just in time for the Christmas stockings!
